Rick Mercier, our local Orchard Mason Bee daddy, shared fascinating value of Mason bees over honey bees when it comes to pollination. They are much more efficient, so the orchards will yield significantly more fruit. Who knew? Thankfully he supports the Orr house orchard, keeping our history growing. He is a fountain of bee knowledge. One nice thing to know is the Mason bee will not sting so great to have around the kids when pollinating your fruit trees.
